Founded in 2016 in Stockholm by Frans Rosen, Piotr Zaleski, and Martin Jensen (CEO), the platform consists of two core modules, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Digital Wholesale, both manageable from a single product catalog and admin interface. Features include a built-in lightweight PIM optimized for complex fashion products (sizes, variants, bundles, lookbooks), multi-market management with automatic content localization (languages, currencies, size charts, tax rules), distributed order management, a promotion engine, native site search with machine learning, and GraphQL APIs for headless frontend integration. Centra serves 200+ brands across Europe including Nudie Jeans, Ideal of Sweden, Eton Shirts, Sandqvist, Craft Sportswear, Paul Smith, Holzweiler, Norse Projects, and Samsoe Samsoe. The platform was bootstrapped for five years, achieving roughly 50% average yearly ARR growth, before securing EUR 10 million in growth equity from Verdane (Northern European specialist investor) in 2021. The company has offices in Stockholm, Wroclaw, and New York.
