Product overview
Board is an enterprise decision-making platform headquartered in Chiasso, Switzerland, that combines business intelligence, corporate performance management, and predictive analytics on a single codebase. Finance, operations, and supply chain teams at large organizations use it for dashboarding, ad-hoc analysis, budgeting, planning, forecasting, and financial consolidation, all within one environment rather than separate tools. On the BI side, Board offers multi-dimensional analysis with drill-down, pivot, and slice-and-dice capabilities, interactive dashboards, and reporting. On the planning side, it provides Excel-like planning interfaces, simulation models, and workflow automation. The platform uses an in-memory OLAP engine and requires no programming. Board also includes predictive analytics features through its acquisition of Prevedere. Founded in 1994 by Giovanni Grossi, Board has grown to serve over 3,000 customers across 19 countries, with clients including Coca-Cola, DHL, KPMG, Puma, Siemens, and Toyota. The company employs approximately 900 people. In 2019, Nordic Capital (a Swedish private equity firm) acquired a majority stake. Board has been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Financial Planning Software for four consecutive years and holds a Microsoft Azure Solutions Partner designation. Its software production is certified as Swiss Made Software.
